Who we are

Draftfall is developed and published by JJ Battlelokit (Jani Jyrkkärinne), based in Finland. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: support@draftfallgame.com.

What we collect

Draftfall plays fully offline. The game sends nothing unless you answer yes to the “Share Completed Runs?” question it asks on first launch. If you opt in, the game sends a run report when you complete Expedition 16 or a New Game+ cycle. Failed and unfinished runs are never sent. A report contains:

• The display name you typed into the game (`playerName`)
• An anonymous player id the game generates on your device (`playerId`). It is a random string, not linked to your Steam account or hardware.
• Your public 17-digit Steam account id (`steamId`) when you play through Steam. It keeps your entries together and lets us find them if you ask for deletion. It is stored but not shown on the site.
• Run details: expedition reached, cards picked and their order, weapon and its bonuses, hero behaviour setting, silver, deaths by wave, run duration, New Game+ progression, game version, and how the run ended

The game does not collect your email address, device identifiers, location, or anything typed outside the player name field. Please do not put personal details in your player name; it is shown on public expedition records.

If you email support, we receive the address and content you send. We do not sell personal data.

How we use data

Expedition records are used to operate and display live rankings, builds, and related site features. Support email is used only to respond to your request.

We process run reports on the basis of your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given in the game. We process support email and keep the site secure on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the service (Article 6(1)(f)).

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time by turning off “Share Completed Runs” in the game’s Settings. Runs already sent stay on the site until you ask us to remove them.

Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. Email support@draftfallgame.com with your player name and, if you play on Steam, your Steam profile link so we can find your entries. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Draftfall and this site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted a run, contact us and we will delete it.

Steam and Discord

The game is distributed on Steam. Steam’s own privacy policy applies to Steam accounts and purchases. Our Discord community is hosted by Discord; their terms and privacy policy apply there.

Cookies and analytics

The public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics service (Umami) to count page views, link clicks, and to view a sample of anonymized session recordings and click heatmaps. Form inputs are masked in recordings, IP addresses are not stored, and the data is not shared with third parties. Essential cookies or similar storage may be used for publisher sign-in on internal tools (`/publish`).

Retention and contact

Run records are kept while the site is operated, or until you ask us to delete them. Support email is kept only as long as needed to handle your request. If this policy changes, we update the date above and note significant changes in the game’s patch notes. To ask about deletion or access, email support@draftfallgame.com.
